A multinational, life sciences company is searching for an experienced BI Application Support Lead to establish a new BI team who will be responsible for improving the performance and reliability of the BI system by conducting regular system optimizations, updates, and maintenance. Your primary duties as a BI Application Support Lead encompass:
· Develop and implement project plans that align with the organisation’s strategic goals. Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through to deployment and support,
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Allocate resources effectively and set clear team objectives,
· Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including business units and IT leadership. Ensure transparent communication regarding project progress, risks, and outcomes,
· Utilise deep understanding of business processes and technology to identify opportunities for process improvement. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business operations,
· Oversee the quality of deliverables, ensuring they meet predefined standards and business requirements. Implement rigorous testing and QA processes to ensure the reliability and performance of solutions,
· Proactively identify and mitigate project risks. Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management plans to ensure smooth project execution,
· Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards. Oversee procurement and integration of third-party solutions as needed.

Proficient in BI tools and technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAP BI),
Strong understanding of database management systems, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing principles,
Familiarity with programming languages used in data analysis and reporting, such as SQL, Python, or R,
Knowledge of cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their application in BI solutions,
Several years of experience in BI or a related field, with a track record of managing BI projects successfully,
Experience in data modelling, analysis, and reporting,
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection and privacy laws,
Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum,
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team management skills,
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across all levels of an organization,
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects,
Proficiency in risk management and change management,
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities,
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field,
Advanced degrees (e.g., master’s in business administration or information Systems) is a plus,
Itil 4, Prince 2 or SAFe CSP Certification is a plus.
