Join a leading technology company specializing in state-of-the-art meteorological solutions as a Software Developer. In this role, you'll support the customer support team by quickly and effectively addressing bugs in the operating environment. The primary task involves developing a server application for the transmission and basic processing of meteorological data. This application is intended for national civil meteorological institutions, international organizations, militaries, and airports worldwide. The application consists of multiple core processes running 24/7, which can be monitored and controlled via a desktop UI or a REST API. It is a multiplatform application (Linux, Windows).
Požiadavky
Advanced proficiency in C++ (standard library, Boost, templates, exceptions, etc.). Strong programmers without C++ experience are encouraged to apply if they are willing to learn,
Intermediate proficiency in Python,
Experience in team-based software development (e.g., corporate environment, open-source projects),
Intermediate English proficiency for internal documentation and customer communication.
We would also appreciate:
Understanding of code and algorithm efficiency (speed and memory consumption),
Creativity in designing new algorithms,
Experience in user interface design,
Familiarity with the Qt UI framework,
Knowledge of scientific Python modules such as numpy and scipy,
Basic experience with GIS systems and formats (SHP, GeoJSON, GML),
Experience with web services and general web development,
Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially Amazon EC2,
Basic understanding of geometry and numerical computations,
Linux or Windows OS administration skills,
Willingness to travel internationally.

2100€/gross - salary will be set based on applicant´s experience.
